Life is a waterfall, we're one in the river and one again after the fall.

I used to be like, "I HATE ABERCROMBIE AND HOLLISTER! EVERYTHING IS UGLY AND LOOKS ALIKE!" And now.. I hate to say my opinion changed, but it has. I still don't like Hollister, but I kind of like Abercrombie, it's kind of classy.. I wouldn't ever shop there that often, though. They're just a LITTLE too proud of their product.. And everything is kind of similar. BUT, I WILL say, that everything fits really well!

Something that I was looking at today. are these Montana Meth Project ads, and they are INTENSE. They make me positive that I will never once do Meth in my life. I hope anyone who sees these will be convinced, too, SO WATCH AND BE THOROUGHLY CONVINCED. My friend and I are thinking about meth addicts for Halloween, but it might not work out. considering we're going with my family friends and their family, so there will be a lot of little kids, and I don't think the adults will appreciate us. Rebel!? Not this time.

I live by this place called Broad Ripple Village, and on Saturday, they had a charity event where a whole bunch of people met at a Kroger parking lot, and dressed up as zombies, and gave canned goods. You were supposed to bring canned goods, and they would put makeup on you to look like a zombie, and spray you with blood. Then, we all walked around the area, and if you wanted, you would go to Hot Box pizza and get a slice or two, then leave. It was actually pretty fun, and some people's outfits were crazy good. I will definitely be going next year, and in my own costume.

Anyone whose seen Paranormal Activity, knows it was not the best movie out there. It wasn't that scary, and the camera work was nauseating. Today, I saw Paranormal Activity 2, and it was much much better. It was more of a prequel, though, and explains a lot. The camera work was way better because a lot of it was filmed on cameras hanging in their house, or when they used the portable camera, it wasn't that shaky. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes scary movies. I don't normally get scared in movies, but this had me covering my eyes, looking through my fingers. I'm kind of a wimp in movie theatres, though..

Let Them Eat Couture!

Alright, well I guess I forgot to mention my birthday was yesterday. And I kind of got some nice stuff!

  • Pink footies! You know, those pajamas that I'm PRETTY SURE everyone ever had when they were little. I'm going to bring them back. for real. Although, they are a little tight at the feet.
  • I got two Juicy Couture things, a charm bracelet, and a cupcake necklace. That's why the title is "let them eat couture." That's what the inside of the necklace box said, and I really liked it.
  • A hand-carved Hawaiian, shark-tooth necklace. It's really a strange thing, but was made for self defense, and trust me, it hurts. I like to rub my fingers along it.
  • An over-the-shoulder bag from my friend, Nina, whom also really loves fashion and Tavi. In fact, she's the one who showed me the Style Rookie blog. Thank you, NINA!
  • I got this pale pink, kind of sparkly, MAC lipstick. I'm not a big fan of MAC, but I really like this color. I do have to constantly apply it, to keep the color vibrant and fresh looking. But, I refuse to return a present, and none-the-less, it is a nice color.
  • From an awesome family, I got this kit for how to make sock puppets! They are family friends, and good ones at that!
  • And, like any child would, I got a ton of money. that's not too important, though.
My favorite teacher at school quit yesterday (something else I forgot to mention.) Well, she was actually my second favorite, but ohwell. I think everyone should have a teacher like this once. We watched Capitalism: A Love Story. Which, was actually my suggestion, and was also my movie. Technically, my mom's movie. She wants me to clarify that to people because for some reason she thinks I'd be embarrassed. So, the reason she quit was because she was protesting. The high schoolers are getting laptops, and us middle schoolers are not. So, she decided to host a garage sale to raise money for atleast us 8th graders to get them. She put up signs and had the announcement announcer say something about it. The announcer said nothing, and a vice principle [to clarify, we have two] took down her sign. She got upset, and had one of her class periods make signs and protest. She then proceeded to get yelled at by the principle, and get suspended. Then, she 'resigned', as we were told. THAT'SSOINTERESTING.

Speaking about school, guess what! The high schoolers also get a FASHION CLUB. But I can't be in it! I heard about it and got really upset. I've been thinking about a Fashion Club, and it's like they have telepathy, then decided not to let me do it. It feels like a personal jab, and I know it's not. I don't even know how to sew. IF I DID, though, I would never buy clothes from stores. I would be making them! I'm just so, ishuiduyfghapihdofguihspaihgpwuindapg. < that is exactly how I feel. Go ahead, look it up. It's a real word, I swear.

Something in fashion I would like to talk about, is Uggs. I think they are the ugliest thing you could put on your two feet. They cost so much and you can't even get them wet! They look poorly constructed, too. I know they're out, but I'm still seeing a lot of people wearing them. Not even when they were IN did I like them! I have to admit, they can be really comfortable. I would wear them to go play in the snow, but oops! I forgot! If I want ones that are durable, I have to pay a lot MORE. Shananigans! I'm really disappointed in Jimmy Choo for working with the shoes. His Uggs don't look good either! No Ugg can.

Let the Blogging Begin!

I guess since this is a new blog, I should begin with words about myself.

  • I love Fashion.
  • I am involved in art.
  • I read a lot.
Those are just simple ways of saying it. I plan on going to college with a major in English, and a minor in Fashion, because I want to be the Editor-in-Chief of Elle magazine. At my current school, which I will only be at until the end of this year, I am in the Visual Art program [Where, sadly, there are no design classes what-so-ever]. But, It's better than being in the Theatre program, where people only play around and they don't take the performing part seriously. The school I go to, is a mess. I'M GETTING OFF TRACK.  Everyday I bring a book to school, because I often get bored. It makes the day enjoyable.
Tavi has inspired me a lot. I think she's sooooo wonderful! Though, I hope it does not come across as me trying to be like her. I'm really not. I just think what she's done is great, and I think I will really like blogging! [So far, I do, but that doesn't say much, considering this is the first time starting on it.] I think the best thing right now, would be if I met her. I think we'd get a long so well!
So, here's the part where I try to figure this blogging thing out, so I can make my page fancy andwhatnot. I'm determined NOT to give up on this!
